A note about our website
Science Corps recently moved to a new, more secure website host after our previous site was compromised in a security breach. We are currently rebuilding our online submission forms. In the meantime, please apply by emailing your application materials directly to fellows@science-corps.org — we read and respond to every message. Thank you for your patience.
About the Fellowship
Science Corps fellows are PhD scientists who spend a minimum of six months living and working at one of our partner institutions in an underserved community. Fellows teach hands-on science, develop curriculum, train local educators, and contribute to building lasting scientific capacity at their host site.
This is not a research fellowship — it is a teaching and science education fellowship. We are looking for scientists who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and skills with students and communities that have limited access to high-quality STEM education.
Eligibility
- Holds a PhD in a scientific field (any discipline)
- Completed their doctorate within the last four years
- Available for a minimum of six months at a host site
- Passionate about science education and community engagement
- Adaptable, collaborative, and willing to live and work in a new cultural context
What Fellows Receive
- Monthly living stipend calibrated to local cost of living
- Housing assistance at or near the host site
- Community of Science Corps fellows and alumni
- Mentorship and professional development support
- A transformative experience teaching science in a new cultural context
